Pared Verde

Improve

Pared Verde is an ideal dive site for more advanced divers to be practicing their skills, as its depth ranges from 21 to 30 meters, and it also features moderate to strong currents, thus being a perfect drift dive.

Pared Verde (meaning "green wall" in Spanish) has smaller walls divided by areas with sand at the beginning of the dive, which are followed by an imposing main wall as the dive progresses.

The marine life at Pared Verde is fairly typical for the Cozumel/Playa del Carmen region, with damselfish, cowfish, spiny lobsters, eagle rays, king crabs, angelfish, groupers, snappers, grunts, moray eels, stingrays, and many other types of reef fish and critters. All of these live among the soft and hard corals, sponges, anemones and gorgonians.

The water temperature ranges from 23 degrees to 27 degrees Centigrade, depending on the season.
