Palma wrecks is a ship graveyard located close to the harbor of Palma de Mallorca. This underwater playground for wreck divers offers the biggest wrecks in Mallorca – four to be exact. Two are cargo ships - measuring 40 meters/130 feet and 60 meters/197 feet in length – and two are smaller, one being a sailing yacht. They have all been sunk on purpose in the early ‘80s and lie at depths of 25 – 28 meters/82 – 91 feet.

The wrecks are in pretty good condition and can be penetrated. However, due to the sharp edges that can harm your skin and your equipment, penetration should only be attempted by experienced wreck divers. Some of the parts you can enter include the wheelhouse, engine room, sleeping areas, decks, and more.

Divers will also enjoy seeing some interesting such as barracudas, damselfish, nudibranchs, and schools of small fish.

The best period for diving is May through October when the water is warm and visibility is at its best. In the winter, the water temperature can drop to 13° C/55° F.
