New Canyon

Diving the New Canyon begins at 12 meters deep, and it can go to any depth divers prefer. There is also a mild current in the deeper sections of the dive site, so therefore it is better for novice divers to avoid this site.

The visibility here is excellent, exceeding 20 meters, which allows divers to observe the several pinnacles with abundant marine life and the 40-meter-long tank wreck which can be found at 18 meters deep.

New Canyon appeared in the aftermath of the 1983 Aqaba Earthquake.

There are table corals here, as well as other species of corals (hard corals towards the deep), sponges and anemones, starfish, scorpionfish, shellfish, and occasionally rays and turtles.

New Canyon and the C-130 hercules airplane wreck. Starting the dive the canyon is very nice on left side, lots of coralls and fishes. Turn left on 20m over the reef and arrive to the wreck. The wreck is broken ... New Canyon and the C-130 hercules airplane wreck. Starting the dive the canyon is very nice on left side, lots of coralls and fishes. Turn left on 20m over the reef and arrive to the wreck. The wreck is broken since 2020 because of a strong storm, however it is interesting to see all parts of them. https://youtu.be/Z3iSvuP__Lk
