Negre Del Falaguer

Improve

The Negre del Falaguer is a dive site located off the Montgrí coast, close to l'Estartit, Spain. It’s a sheltered spot for all levels, shallow and easy to orientate. Depth ranges from 4 to 27 meters/13-89 feet. Divers can choose to dive a wall, besides the reef, or around the large rocks.

The seascape is made of a rocky bottom with sandy areas where Posidonia (a genus of flowering plants) grows. Look closely for the elusive seahorses. Around the rocks, you may also spot lobsters, octopuses, and moray eels. Eagle rays, black umbers, forkbeards, scorpionfish, and cuttlefish can also be encountered here.

Diving at Negre del Falaguer is possible year-round. Water temperatures in the Catalonia region range from 13° C/55° F in the winter to 24° C/76° F in the summer.
