St. Thomas’ Miss Opportunity is a wreck dive site located close to Charlotte Amalie. This former WWII Navy Hospital barge is 118 meters/390 feet long and rests in 27 meters/90 feet of water. It was sunk in 1985. The ship is fully intact and sits on her starboard side.

Penetration is possible and there’s a lot to see inside Miss Opportunity. You can enter through one of the many openings and explore its belly, bow section, and deck. The large number of exits (you can exit the ship from almost every room) makes this a safe wreck.

The wreck is located in a sheltered area, safe from tidal currents. Visibility is sometimes affected by the sediment, but it is generally good.

Great place for taking pictures – be sure to bring your camera!
