Mgarr Ix-Xini is a quite shallow dive spot on the south coast of Gozo Island. The depth here goes from 6 meters to 14 meters and the waters are calm and clear.

The right side of the bay at Mgarr Ix-Xini has a 12-meter-deep cavern, holes and crevices which divers can easily explore.

The marine life at Mgarr Ix-Xini includes seahorses, salema, starfish, flying gurnards, octopus (which hide under boulders), pipefish.

This dive site can be explored throughout the year, but divers need to know that wintertime can bring water temperatures of around 14 degrees Centigrade.
