Matthew Wreck is actually the wreck of a sailboat called Dragon Smoke. The small boat was hit by Hurricane Matthew in 201 and was left unusable… and was also stripped of its name, apparently.
The boat sits on a patch of sand surrounded by coral. Under the boat, you can find numerous lionfish and drum fish. But you can find plenty of other creatures in every nook and cranny around it, including crabs, shrimp, nudibranchs, and lettuce slugs. With a bit of luck, you can also spot sea turtles and rays.
Matthew Wreck dive site has a depth of 12 meters/40 feet and can be explored by divers of all levels.
