Manta Ridge

Improve

Manta Ridge is an excellent dive site located off Mansuar Island. This spot is one of the best places in Raja Ampat to spot the beautiful manta rays. The dive site is a popular manta ray cleaning station, so divers are guaranteed to spot groups of mantas on any given day.

Due to the strong currents in this area, divers may have to use reef hooks to remain in place while observing these majestic animals. The mantas are usually spotted in shallow waters of about 10 meters/33 feet depth. The maximum depth at Manta Ridge is 40 meters/130 feet.

Other animals one can spot here include sea turtles, golden trevallies, remoras, leopard wrasses, cleaner wrasses, moon wrasses, butterflyfish, bumphead parrotfish, and blacktip reef sharks in deeper waters.
