Mammuthone

Improve

Mammuthone dive site is located off Capo Figari, in northeastern Sardinia. The name comes from the crack in the cliff located in front of the moorings. Its shape resembles the mask of the Mamoiada’s carnival.

You dive along the wall to a depth of 20 meters/66 feet. There’s also some big rocks from 15 to 30 meters/50-100 feet where you can encounter moray eels, lobsters, groupers, and other fish.

As you ascend, you have the option to visit the Grotta del Mamuthone (The Cave of the Mamuthone), a small cave adorned with yellow sea fans.

Beware of the ever-present current. Mammuthone is suitable for experienced divers.
