Madeirense is one of the most popular dives in the Eastern Atlantic Ocean. It consists of the wreck of a boat sunk on purpose in 2000 to create an artificial reef. The boat lies at a depth of 33 meters/100 feet with its upper part at 26 meters/85 feet.
Marine life is abundant. The wreck attracts barracudas, snappers, bream, groupers, peacock wrasses, scorpionfish, spotted rays, and nudibranchs.
