The Lighthouse is a popular dive site in Dahab, accessible to divers of all levels. It is a sheltered spot and diving is possible all year round. The maximum depth here is 30 meters/100 feet.
The dive starts with a shallow sandy area and drops into a grassy slope. The reef is typical to Dahab, and the reef wall is scattered over sandy patches with large pinnacles. As you follow the wall, you will reach the saddle. Once you cross it, you’ll enter a coral garden with large gorgonians.
Some of the marine life you will encounter here includes seahorses, Pegasus sea moths, Spanish dancers, anglerfish, anemone crabs, nudibranchs, unicornfish, crocodile fish, sea bream, stonefish, octopus, and moray eels.
