Leonora’s Reef in Bonaire is a beautiful dive site located on the north coast of the tiny islet of Klein Bonaire. It is a great spot for novice divers and snorkelers. The plateau is shallow, but it abounds in fish of all shapes and sizes. There’s also a small tunnel that creates some fantastic photo opportunities.

The site has an average depth of 3 to 25 meters (20-80 feet), but the wall extends to over 45 meters (1480 feet). The largest coral formations are found at about 16 meters (52 feet), where you can encounter huge plate coral and star coral.

Marine life includes lots of parrotfish, groupers, butterflyfish, yellowtail snappers, angelfish, honeycomb trunkfish, fireworms, damselfish, and many other species of reef fish.

The underwater flora is spectacular and diverse, with wire coral, bushy black coral, sea plume, yellow finger coral, staghorn coral, fan-leaf algae, and many types of sea sponges.
