Splash Dive Center is more than just a regular Belize dive shop, and scuba diving and snorkelling operator. In addition to providing guests with the very highest standards of service, they aim to make dive trips educational, informative and fun. That is why all their Divemasters and Instructors are registered guides with the Belize Tourism Board.
Splash Dive Center was founded by Patty Ramirez in 2000 and is also a very important community stakeholder in the village of Placencia and actively involved in both community and environmental projects for protection and sustainable growth.
Patty founded the Splash Kids Club, which helps kids from the local community, who cannot afford scuba lessons, to get certified as PADI Junior Open Water divers. Not only does this help the kids enjoy the rewards of scuba diving, but it gets them started on a potential career as a local guide or PADI Instructor, and more importantly educates them about the importance of long term environmental conservation.
Their team and staff are also actively involved in local conservation projects, such as the Placencia Mooring Masters and organizing the annual cleanup of Laughing Bird Caye, a national park and World Heritage Site.
Seahorse Dive Shop is a fully equipped dive shop located in the heart of Placencia Village. The shop is owned and operated by PADI and NAUI dive instructor Brian Young. Brian has over 8 years of training experience and over 20 years of diving experience. He was one of Placencia first dive masters and instructors. Prior to opening his dive shop, Brian was a native fisherman and skin diver. He knows the reef as only someone who has made a living from the sea can.
Brian is the founder of the Whale Sharks Expeditions. He and his trained dive masters keep logs of the Whale Shark migrations. Seahorse Dive Shop is the only shop that can provide such details as when the sharks migrate, the most suitable dates in the months for viewing the great sharks, or if a certain shark has been seen previously. With this detailed information, Seahorse Dive Shop presents the best opportunity for encountering these docile and easily approached Whale Sharks.
Seahorse Dive Shop provides daily diving, including single or multiple dives per day and night dives. The dives consist of wall, canyon, and faro (atoll shaped reefs inside the barrier reef) diving. For the non-diver we offer snorkeling as either separate from or alongside the dive trips.

Turtle Inn is sandwiched between the Garifuna settlement of Seine Bight and the Creole fishing village of Placencia at the tip of a narrow 26-mile long sandy peninsula. To the east, the Caribbean Sea is studded by a patchwork of coral cayes and the Belize Barrier Reef UNESCO World Heritage site.
Directly behind Turtle Inn to the west lie the calm waters of the Placencia Lagoon and spectacular views of the Maya Mountains and Victoria Peak. South of the Placencia Peninsula is the Monkey River formed from the Swasey and Bladen rivers that flow from the jungle clad peaks of the Maya Mountains across the coastal savanna out into the extensive mangrove flats and barrier islands that hug the coastline.
Turtle Inn offers scuba diving equipment, snorkeling equipment, and tours, as well as a wide range of PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certification courses for both the beginner and more experienced.
All Turtle Inn dive trips are led by a licensed Tour Guide who is also a PADI Divemaster or a certified PADI Instructor.
