Lantern Point

Lantern Point is a dive site located at the south-western point of Comino, Malta. The spot features a wall that leads to large boulders at the bottom of the sea. At 15 meters (49 feet), there’s also a large cave. The cave has a chimney rising to a plateau at 6 meters (20 feet).

The marine life includes barracudas, Roman eels, Mediterranean morays, squids, lobsters, amberjacks, groupers, lionfish, damselfish, starfish, shrimps, and crabs.

Lantern Point has a maximum depth of about 40 meters (131 feet) and is recommended for advanced divers. Diving is possible year-round, but May through November offers warmer sea temperatures and calmer weather. The water temperature ranges from 14° C/58° F in the winter to 25° C/77° F in the summer.
