Kudhimaa is a 50-meter-/150-foot-long cargo ship that was sunk on purpose in 1998 to provide a fun diving experience to divers visiting the South Ari Atoll.
The wreck lies on the sandy bottom at a depth of about 30 meters/100 feet and already exhibits coral and algae growth. The structure is visited by batfish, stonefish, lionfish, moray eels, and nurse sharks.
Kudhimaa is suitable for intermediate-level divers and is best dived between June and December. You can expect a water temperature of 27 to 30 °C and excellent visibility.
But beware - the current can be strong in this area.
