Karpata is a beautiful dive site in Bonaire, popular among shore divers. The spot offers great visibility and spectacular underwater scenery, with pristine coral reef and a multitude of fish of all shapes and sizes.

Sea turtles, giant moray eels, perch, yellow jacks, parrotfish, blue tangs, and lots species of coral and sea fans can be admired here. Quite a healthy reef. About 50 different species of coral have been recorded here.

Access is through a concrete platform from which you can submerge in the water. For a bit more adventure, some divers choose to jump in at La Dania's Leap and drift to Karpata from there.

Depth ranges from 6 to 30 meters/20-100 feet, with a sandy seabed covered with coral. Water visibility is around 25 meters/ 82 feet and the current is none to mild.
