French Reef is one of the most spectacular dives in the Keys. Located off Key Largo, this dive is well known for its swim-throughs located between 5 and 12 meters/15 and 40 feet deep.

You can spot some large pelagics here: manta rays, hammerhead sharks, blacktip reef sharks, and eagle rays.

Diving is possible all year round, with warm and generally calm waters throughout the seasons.

With Sail Fish Scuba in Key Largo, we were pleasantly surprised to discover such pleasant diving conditions this morning. Very manageable 3 feet+ seas at the surface, only a moderate current, 35 to 45 foot visibility, and the water temperature at 74 F felt super warm compared to the 58 F air temp.
