Emerald Bay

Emerald is a great dive site found just east of Tulamben Bay. It features a number of species of sponges, including the massive barrel sponge. Divers will also come across various artificial reefs such as a sunken car.

The natural and artificial reefs at Emerald dive site are home to a variety of species of marine animals. Cuttlefish, dartfish, helmet gurnards, ghost pipefish, lionfish, octopuses, garden eels, and many other species of fish can be seen here. And if you’re lucky, you may even spot thresher sharks and eagle rays.

The water temperature ranges from 27 to 30° C (81-86° F) and the diving conditions are usually calm. The visibility is around 20 meters (66 feet) and the average depth of the site is about 26 meters (85 feet). The dive site is suitable for divers of all levels of experience.
