El Acuario is a reef dive site located on the west coast of Tenerife. Also known as The Rays or Stingray City, it is famous for – you guessed it, the sheer number of rays. Eagle rays, marbled electric rays, butterfly rays, round stingrays, rough-tailed stingrays, and Atlantic stingrays are some of the species that can be seen here. The rays are fed by the local dive centers to guarantee their appearance.

Boxfish, nudibranchs, octopus, and squid can also be spotted at this dive spot.

The depth at El Acuario dive site is 30 meters/100 feet, which makes it suitable for advanced divers. Visibility is about 10 meters/33 feet and water temperature ranges from 13° C during the winter to 25° C during summer. Diving is possible year-round.
