Cita Del Mar was a tuna boat built in 1961 that came to its demise in 1995 after it wrecked on volcanic rocks near Faro de Punta Rasca, Tenerife. The 21-meter (69-foot) long ship now rests on its port side in water 38 to 58 meters (125-190 feet) deep, shrouded in hundreds of meters of trawl net.
The shipwreck makes for an interesting dive, providing numerous photographing opportunities for technical divers. The underwater visibility is typically outstanding, and the currents are usually low. Stingrays, groupers, cardinalfish, Turkish wrasses and even sea turtles can be spotted around the Cita Del Mar wreck.
