Chankanaab

Dive site in

Scuba diving at Chankanaab is one of the best activities to do when visiting Cozumel. This dive site has some amazing coral reef with numerous crevices that hide various species of aquatic creatures.

At a maximum depth of 15 meters and a minimum depth of 9 meters, it makes for a great spot for novices. There's no current and the water is around 24-30 degrees Celsius (75-86 degrees Fahrenheit) all year round. Just be aware of the fact that the hurricane season is between the months of June and October.

The marine life consists of lobsters, crabs, stonefish, tang fish, toadfish, sting rays, urchins, and more.
