Chac Mool Cenote is one of the most magical cenotes one can dive in. A 12-meter-deep cenote, Chac Mool is suitable only for the advanced divers who are competent and certified to dive in such environments.

What makes diving this cenote truly special is the large rooms full of light, which also provide fantastic underwater photography opportunities.

Chac Mool also has the largest underwater stalactite in the world, as well as spectacular stalactite formations in the so-called "dome room".

Fossils can be found in Chac Mool.

This spectacular cenote also has a halocline - the line where fresh and salt water meet, and this makes for some amazing effects.

Chac Mool Cenote is approximately 20 minutes away from Playa del Carmen.
