Cannons is a dive site situated on the East coast of Cozumel. The spot features about a dozen large cannons and cannon balls that have been lying on the bottom of the Carribean sea for hundreds of years; some believe they're relics from the late 1700's.
This shallow/drift dive site has a depth of 6-12 meters (20-40 feet) and is suitable for intermediate divers. The current is moderate.
Spectacular Elkhorn coral, among the biggest ones in Cozumel, can also be found here. The marine life includes lionfish, damselfish, snappers, and parrotfish.
