Bunaken Timur 1 is a steep wall with many caves and cracks filled with a good variety of marine life. The wall is filled with diverse soft and hard coral species, including fire coral.
Look out for the schools of fusiliers, anthias, sweetlips, drummer fish, unicorn fish, butterflyfish, Napoleon wrasses, crocodile needlefish, stingrays, crabs, nudibranchs, among many other marine animals. With a bit of luck, you may even spot some whitetip reef sharks and sea turtles here.
This is more of an advanced dive, with depths of 5 to 25 meters (16-82 feet). Pay attention to the currents, which can be unpredictable. Underwater visibility is typically good.
