Bowesfield was a cargo ship built in 1880 that sunk in 1892 while carrying a cargo of coal. The wreck lies on the seabed at 35 to 65 meters/115-215 feet deep and is accessible to technical divers.
While not in great condition, having been in the water for so long, the Bowesfield wreck is still a very photogenic wreck with lots of sea fan growth on it.
Diving is possible all year round, with water temperatures of 15 - 24 °C/60 - 75 °F.
