The Batu Niti dive site is a steep drop of black lava rock covered in coral and features a black sand slope to the west. The volcanic stones formed a few canyons. Boxer crabs and other rare species of sea animals hide under the rocks.

One of the highlights of Batu Niti is the huge black coral bush found between 16 and 22 meters (52 to 72 feet). An impressive number of barrel sponges of all sizes and shapes can be found here.

The marine life consists of common species of reef fish, nudibranchs, Coleman’s shrimps, Donald duck shrimps, barracudas, and even whale sharks if you’re lucky.

The maximum depth of this muck dive site is about 40 meters (131 feet). The current is mild at Batu Niti and the dive is suitable for divers of all levels at any time of the year.
