The Barracuda Reef dive site in Cozumel is one of the most challenging but rewarding dives in the area. Lush coral, underwater valleys and plains, crystal-clear waters, an almost virgin area, these are all things you can expect to find here.

This drop-off/drift dive site has a maximum depth of 35 meters and a visibility of 25 meters. The conditions of pretty severe, with frequent strong current (2-3 knots) that may cause one to drift out. The down currents are also a concern. Divers have risked their lives diving here. Consequently, it's recommended to experts and groups.

The marine life consists of barracuda, damselfish, turtles, green morrays, nurse sharks, and the occasional grouper, trumpetfish, bar jacks, toadfish, eagle rays, and others.
