Baixa Da Maia is a dive site located off Maia Village, Santa Maria Island, the Azores. It’s found just 20 minutes by boat from the shore and offers beautiful views for underwater photographers.

Some of the highlights of the dive include the big schools of barracudas and amberjacks that circle the boulders. One of the rocks is completely covered with yellow cluster anemones.

Groupers, white trevallies, stingrays, locus lobsters, crabs, and moray eels are also common encounters.

Baixa Da Maia has an average depth of 15 meters/50 feet and a maximum depth of 24 meters/79 feet. It is suitable for divers of all levels.
