B-24 Liberator Wreck

B-24 Liberator is a wreck dive site located off Marsaxlokk in southeast Malta. The plane is a former World War II bomber that sunk in 1943 and was discovered in 2015. The wreck was opened for divers in 2020 and the site is managed by Heritage Malta. Divers are required to obtain a permit in order to dive this historical wreck.

The shipwreck lies upright at a depth of 55 meters/180 feet and is only suitable for technical divers. It has a length of about 20 meters/66 feet and a wingspan of 33 meters/108 feet. the wings are well preserved and covered in coral. Two of its engines still have propellers in place.
