Aquarium East

Aquarium East is an easy dive site located on the east end of Utila Island. With much of the marine life located in less than 10 meters/33 feet of water, this spot is suitable for all divers, including newbies.

The eastern end is known as the Ironshore and features volcanic rock formations. The waves have carved the shoreline, creating overhangs, blowholes, and chimneys.

Marine wildlife is abundant and diverse and includes species like Queen angelfish, French angelfish, barracudas, lionfish, squirrelfish, boxfish, moray eels, yellow stingrays, electric rays, Southern stingrays.
