Anemone Reef, or Hin Jom, is a popular dive site off the island of Koh Phi Phi in the Andaman Sea. This limestone pinnacle is part of a marine sanctuary where marine life abounds. The spot got its name from the superb green, blue, and white sea anemones that cover the pinnacle.

In the deeper areas, soft corals and sea fans are found in great numbers, and there are also plenty of critters like seahorses that make excellent photography subjects. Snappers, sweetlips, trevallies, barracudas, scorpionfish, soldierfish, and leopard sharks are common encounters in the area.

The maximum depth of Anemone Reef is 25 meters (82 feet) and visibility ranges from 6 to 20 meters (20-66 feet). The currents are moderate and surface conditions can get rough, but the dive site can be dived year-round. The water temperature is warm and pleasant throughout the year, peaking at 30° C (86° F). Close-by, divers can also explore another popular dive site – Shark Point.
