Ancient Mariner is a wreck dive site located off Deerfield Beach. It features an ex-Coast Guard Cutter measuring 50 meters/165 feet in length. The ship was sunk on purpose in 1991 to create an artificial reef and is now teeming with life.

Penetration is possible. In fact, due to the easy penetration, the wreck is used for the PADI Wreck Diver training. The depth range is 15 to 21 meters/50 to 70 feet.

It is common to see large schools of tropical fish, eels, lobsters, stingrays, and – occasionally – sea turtles and eagle rays.
