Abu Makadi Middle

Abu Makadi Middle is a dive site located in the northern part of Makadi Bay, Egypt. Divers first drop to a plateau with coral outcrops located at a depth of about 7 meters, then follow a sloping reef to 16 meters. About 20 meters down, a steep drop-off can be found.

The marine life at Abu Makadi Middle dive site includes species like scorpionfish, stonefish, angelfish, groupers, crabs, and the occasional sea turtles. The luckiest of divers may even get to see dolphins.

Abu Makadi Middle can be dived year-round, but it would be best to visit during the summer or autumn months. Water temperatures can reach 28° C/83° F in August. Water visibility averages 10 meters (33 feet).
