Blue Hole
This dive site, which is a little distance outside the house reef, can be reached by with a short boat trip. The descent from the surface is beautiful as you dive at 9m depth through a tunnel, which ends at 18m depth at the "Blue Hole". The opening is flooded by sunlight and this creates a fantastic view. The entrances / exits are guarded by Atlantic Cornetfish. Schools of yellow-finned Grunts as well as Saunders's Terns are located there. Over the sand bottom you can reach the deeper grounds of the dive site behind the tunnel up to max. 28m. There are usually many prints of Butterfly Rays, and a closer look is worth it, because often the rays are well camouflaged, but still slumber somewhere in the sand.
