The San Francisco Wall dive site is the shallowest of its type in Cozumel. It's appreciated for its healthy reef with brain corals, big sponges and generous marine life.
The dive starts at 15 meters and features winding tunnels which continue into a steep edge of wall filled with corals and sponges. The southern part is low-lying, the middle part has wide tunnels, and the northern section has swimmable tunnels and caves.
The San Francisco Reef dive site has a depth of 15 to 60 meters and moderate to strong currents. It's suitable for intermediate and advanced divers.
The high season is December to March but one can dive here all year round.
As for marine life, divers can observe species of crab, gobies, blennies, eagle rays, parrotfish, jackfish, grouper, barracuda, black-tip reef shark, and nurse shark.
