The Cathedral is located on the northern tip of Malpelo Island and consists of a pinnacle that has a tunnel passing through it. The rock formation rises from the sandy bottom at 18 meters/60 feet deep and ends just below the surface.
The name comes from the tunnel, which is covered in corals and sponges on the inside and is home to a multitude of marine creatures.
Tunas, grunts, snappers, eels, eagle rays, and whitetip reef sharks are some of the animals you may spot on your dive.
