The Drop Off

Punto de inmersión en
Improve

The Drop Off is one of the most popular dive sites in Sipadan. It features a stunning wall that drops to a staggering depth of 600 meters/2000 feet. The drop-off is located just 10 meters from the beach.

The wall is full of coral and a variety of marine animals can be seen around here at any given time. You can spot sea turtles, bumphead parrotfish, jacks, barracudas, grey sharks, whitetip reef sharks, and many invertebrates between the cracks in the wall.

Diving at The Drop Off Sipadan is possible all year round. The usual dive depth is 25 to 40 meters/82-130 feet and visibility is outstanding. Recommended for advanced divers.

Night Dive. A really good dive - a long swim up from the jetty, then the fun started - a school of Bumphead Parrotfish, all over, one sleeping - could be a good photo, several turtles, both Green and Hawksbill; two upside-down Pipefish; Alain caught the biggest Puffer, but the best were the Bumpheads - huge, green (4'x2').
