Location: Panorama Reef is located off the coast of Safaga, in the Red Sea, Egypt. It's a well-known and popular dive site, suitable for intermediate to advanced divers due to occasional strong currents. Overview: Panorama Reef is a large, oval-shaped offshore reef surrounded by steep walls that drop off dramatically into the deep blue. It's one of the most scenic and diverse dive sites in the area, known for its stunning coral formations and abundant marine life. Key Features: Topography: The reef features vertical walls, plateaus, overhangs, and a deep southern plateau. The northern and southern ends offer the most interesting diving with dramatic drop-offs and strong currents. Coral Life: Dense hard and soft coral gardens with excellent visibility. You’ll find vibrant colors and healthy reef structures all around. Marine Life: Regular sightings include barracudas, tuna, Napoleon wrasse, reef sharks (like grey reef and occasionally hammerheads), moray eels, turtles, and schools of anthias. The currents attract pelagic species. Currents: Can be strong and variable, making drift dives a popular and exciting option here.
