Bottom of sand, rocks and gullies. Almost immediately came across two schools of Yellowmouth Barracuda, 100+ in each school. Schools of Salema Bream - lovely, and also some Two-Banded Bream. Over gullies, sea grass to a canyon - a Goldblotch Grouper, then a cave with at least 5 huge Wrechfish in side - very impressive. Turned back towards the boat, under it and then a few metres into another cave. Used my torch to illuminate a really big Conger Eel well hidden at the back of a low cavern and in deep. Impressive. OPut of the cave - a lovely view with the sun above. Great dive. New suit good, vest a great help too. Also watch striped Red Mullet digging away.

So many sharks that I lost count, Grey Reef and Whitetip, a shark cleaning station with one shark with it's jaws open having it's teeth cleaned! Schools of juvenile Pyramid Butterflyfish. Sharks snapping at fish, Giant Trevally, Bluefin Jack, a big Turtle, several Napoleons. Fish destroyed by a pack of two Whitetips, a Napoleon and two Giant Trevally! Started up and watched a Whitetip resting on the sand. A truly amazing dive. Also a school of Barracuda - pics of them too.

He took me to the galley in the superstructure - nice, them to the Captain's bathroom - twin tube! We then dropped down into the engine room - pix of th engine. Junior then showed me the workshop right at the bottom, port side - a lathe and other tools, pulley-driven. Then deeper inside again was the storeroom, steel shelves with lots of kit, lanterns, spares etc. Very interesting indeed! Had a look at the torpedo hole in Hold 4, then swam forward. Took a photo of the plaque and then into Hold 1 with aircraft propellers, engines and cowlings and ammo - photos of that. Then to the forward gun - photos of that. Spent the decompression sat on the forward goalpost and watched the fish - Damsels, Anthias all came close, especially a tiny Goby and two lovely little Hawkfish which posed inches away.

Moved quickly down to 60+m and there they were - three nice Scalloped Hammerhead Sharks. Watched the back two and then looked over my left shoulder. The first one had circled back and was coming straight at me - a really beautiful creature - 2m+ and very deep in the chest, about 5m away. Saw the hammer with the eye watching me very clearly! Kept watching and moved a little deeper. One turned back the way he had come and came close. Real, electric excitement of the first order. Blew air away and had to leave after 6-7 minutes. Went up steadily and saw a small Whitetip Reef Shark at 34m and a Potato Cod at about 24m. Computer went into deco mode but gassed off at 9m and 6m. This was a really good dive - one of the best!

A really good dive - a long swim up from the jetty, then the fun started - a school of Bumphead Parrotfish, all over, one sleeping - could be a good photo, several turtles, both Green and Hawksbill; two upside-down Pipefish; Alain caught the biggest Puffer, but the best were the Bumpheads - huge, green (4'x2').
