The most common tuna in the Atlantic Ocean, the little tuna loves temperate and tropical waters where it is found both in offshore and inshore waters.

The largest little tuna is 120 cm/47 in, but most measure no more than 90-100 cm in length. They are steel blue on top and silver below. Wavy stripes go along the posterior part of their back.
