Giant Grouper

Альтернативные названия: Brindlebass, Brown Spotted Cod, Bumblebee Grouper, Queensland Grouper, Epinephelus lanceolatus

The giant grouper is the largest reef-dwelling fish in the world that can be found in the coral reefs of the Indo-Pacific region.
Being slow swimmers, they often rely on ambushing tactics in order to catch their prey.
The giant grouper lives in small groups which consists of a male and up to 15 females. The interesting fact about them is that if the male dies, the largest female changes its sex and takes over the harem.
