Vietnamese Wreck, also known as Pasir Tani wreck, is a very popular site in the Perhentian Islands. The ship sunk in 1976 and is located off Perhentian Kecil. It rests on the sandy bottom at a depth of 22 meters/72 feet.
The wreck is penetrable, so certified wreck divers can swim through the wreck.
Having been in the water for so long, the shipwreck is covered with corals and gorgonians and is home to many different species of fish and invertebrates. You can see barracudas, jacks, scorpionfish, stonefish, nudibranchs, and even leopard sharks, among other marine animals.
Vietnamese Wreck can be dived from April through October. From October to April the island experiences the monsoon season which affects diving conditions.
