Tarpon Alley is located just outside of the North Sound, Grand Cayman. The name comes from the opportunity of spotting tarpons, though you are not guaranteed to see one on every dive.
There’s some nice sea fans here and also star corals, spiny flower corals, and cactus corals. Look for the Nassau groupers at the various cleaning stations, the spiny lobsters in the coral, barracudas, snappers, gobies moray eels, Hawksbill turtles, crabs, shrimps, and other marine creatures.
This is a deep dive with a maximum depth of 30 meters/100 feet and is suitable for advanced divers. The water temperature remains pleasant throughout the year, warming up at 25°C/78°F. Visibility is usually good except for days with heavy rain.
