Sachiko’s Point is a dive site located within the Bunaken National Marine Park. Divers get to drift along a steep wall teeming with big fish and massive corals. More than 300 species of fish have been recorded in the area, which makes it one of the riches in the world.
Some of the most common marine life you can spot here includes healthy sponges and coral, huge gorgonian sea fans, and fish such as triggerfish, sweetlips, trumpetfish, angelfish, snappers, groupers, unicornfish, sergeant fish, and red-fin anthias. Blue-spotted stingrays, schools of trevallies, and sea turtles are also commonly seen here. You may also spot some reef sharks.
The diving depth at Sachiko’s Point ranges from 5 to 30 meters/16-100 feet, which makes it suitable for advanced divers and up. The underwater visibility is good, and the current is moderate to strong, depending on the weather conditions.
Diving is possible year-round. The water temperature remains pleasant throughout the year, ranging between 26° and 30° C/78°-86° F.
