Melissa's Reef is located outside of Sandy Bay, along the northwest coast of beautiful Roatan. This is a nice dive site suitable for both beginners – thanks to its shallow top reef filled with colorful corals -and advanced divers, that get to enjoy steep walls and exciting canyons.
The walls some of the highlights of the dive and are filled with king crabs and lobsters. Some of the other marine animals you can spot here include eels, groupers, seahorses, and many reef fish.
Moderate to strong currents are sometimes present at Melissa's Reef, which is why divers who choose to explore this reef are required to have good buoyancy control.
