Kwatisore Bay, or Whale Shark Bay, is renowned for being an excellent site to encounter whale sharks. The animals circulate the waters below the fishing platforms (bagans) and feed on the fish caught by the local fishermen. The high density of sharks in the area (which seem unbothered by divers) paired with the great water visibility has placed the region on top of the best destinations for swimming with whale sharks. In addition, divers may get to see the unique-looking Mola molas.

The best time to dive here is July through November. The rainy season stretches from February through May. The water temperature remains around 27°C/80° F throughout the year.
