The Eddystone Lighthouse was built in 1703 and it was the first lighthouse built on small rocks so far out at sea. Today, the area is a popular diving spot for divers of all levels. It offers good fish life and rock formations.
You can see schools of bass, pollock, cuckoo wrasses, flatfish, basking sharks, and many crustaceans.
Because of the strong currents, Eddystone Lighthouse should be dived only during neap tides. If a tide is running, seek shelter into the lee of the rocks.
The site has an average depth of 20 meters/66 feet and offers good visibility.
