Dhigurah Thila (thila = underwater mountain) is a dive site located in the South Ari Atoll suitable for divers of all certifications within the respective depth limits.
The top of the thila is located at 10 meters/33 feet and it goes beyond the depth of 30 meters/100 feet. The side of the thila facing the channel edge offers terraces and overhangs that form caves, while the opposite side turns into a sandy area at 20 meters/66 feet.
The dive site is teeming with life of all sorts: reef sharks, stingrays, Napoleon wrasses, trevallies, snappers, fusiliers, pixie hawkfish, mantis shrimps, among others. There are also lots of sea whips, sea fans, and bushes of black corals.
The current can be strong, and visibility is excellent (about 25 meters/80 feet).
