The Chun-Zumbul dive site is a reef off Coco Beach, Playa del Carmen. It's one of the longest and shallowest diving spots in the area, with a depth of 6 to 13 meters.
There are few to no currents, more reason for novices to venture here.
Divers will get to see sections of coral overhangs filled with marine life. But the most interesting section of the dive is the one with the coral caverns. The site is abundant in moray eels, lemon rays, shellfish, and flounders.
The visibility is 15 to 20 meters and diving is available all year round. However, be aware that the rain season lasts from July to October.
