Chakatuni is located at the northernmost tip of Zanzibar, on the Nungwi reef. This long-stretching coral formation is visited by an abundance of reef fish and even large pelagics such as sea turtles and stingrays. Lots of great soft and hard corals to be seen here.
The maximum depth at Chakatuni is only 18 meters/59 feet, which makes it accessible for divers of all levels. However, it is exposed to currents.
Best dived during the peak diving season of Zanzibar: July to September and December to January.
